Snow Leopard Installed

I recently purchased Snow Leopard for my Aluminum 13inch Macbook from Amazon.com [Link] for $25 with free shipping. I didn’t need it right away, so I didn’t mind the 5-6 day waiting period.

I was a little reserved at first to install Snow Leopard because I use Adobe CS3. I have heard countless people saying it won’t work. So I figured I would just chance it. I backed up all my data on my 500GB Western Digital Passport and popped in my installation disk.

I originally wanted to do a clean install, but I couldn’t find my Microsoft Office installation disk. So I just upgraded. Installation took about 55 minutes start to finish.

As soon as the upgrade completed and my Mac loaded up, I opened up Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver CS3 and Flash CS3. I played around for about 10 minutes in each program. I haven’t had any problems. Not the first one. I used the new Expose to very quickly switch between the programs. Everything is really lighting fast.

As for the amount of disk space, I only was able to recover 4Gb. Not a big deal though, most of my work stays on my home development server.

All-in-all, I am really really pleased with Snow Leopard. It was totally worth the $25. Now if only I could afford Adobe CS4! Anyone out there want to be a Geek or Geekette in shinning armor? ;)
